Jeff Harris, CEO
Jeff Harris serves as CEO and Co-Founder of Appulate, which he founded in March 2005. Many consider Appulate to be one of the first “InsurTech” companies, and more than two decades later, Jeff continues to provide the vision and strategy for the company, with a focus on innovation and advancing technology for the insurance industry.
As CEO, Jeff is committed to maintaining an awesome culture that benefits both Appulate’s customers and its talented team, while continuing to guide the company’s growth and evolution. Jeff resides in Thousand Oaks, California and is an avocado farmer in his free time.
Vanessa Camara, Chief of Staff
Vanessa Camara serves as Chief of Staff at Appulate, where she drives strategic execution and operational alignment to advance the company’s mission of transforming commercial insurance submissions through AI-driven submission intelligence.
With more than 15 years of experience in InsurTech, Vanessa has helped insurance organizations modernize commercial insurance workflows, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation. Her deep understanding of commercial insurance workflows helps Appulate deliver innovative technology that streamlines submissions, optimizes underwriting, and improves the customer experience.
Trae Jones, President
Trae Jones serves as President of Appulate, where he holds executive leadership responsibility for ensuring the company continues to deliver on its mission as a leading provider of AI-driven data ingestion and automation solutions for new business and underwriting optimization.
Trae is a seasoned InsurTech executive with over 30 years of experience helping P&C insurance organizations optimize their use of technology. After spending the first decade of his career as a consultant to P&C carriers, he spent the next 20+ years working for InsurTech companies focused on core systems, data analytics, and AI-driven submission intelligence platforms.
Michael Fedosov, Chief Technology Officer
Michael Fedosov serves as Chief Technology Officer at Appulate, where he oversees the company’s technical strategy, architecture, and product development. During more than 21 years with Appulate, Michael has progressed from software developer to Head of Engineering and now Chief Technology Officer, giving him extensive experience with the company’s technology and product development.
Throughout his tenure, Michael has played an integral role in the evolution of Appulate’s products and technology. Today, he leads the company’s technical direction with a focus on AI, innovation, and the continued development of technology that supports modern insurance workflows.
Johnny Yarbrough, Vice President of Product Strategy and Solutions Consulting
Johnny Yarbrough serves as Vice President of Product Strategy and Solutions Consulting at Appulate, where he helps guide product direction by connecting emerging technology, industry trends, and the real-world needs of insurance organizations.
Johnny began his insurance career in 2013 and joined Appulate in 2017. His experience spans insurance operations, product development, technology consulting, sales, and marketing, with expertise in AI-driven data ingestion, submission intelligence, underwriting automation, and core system integrations.
David King, Manager of Customer Success
David King serves as Manager of Customer Success at Appulate, where he works closely with carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and agencies to modernize submission, quoting, and underwriting workflows through technology and automation.
David brings extensive P&C insurance and InsurTech experience across agency and carrier operations, implementation, customer strategy, and account growth. His background helps clients align Appulate’s technology with real-world insurance workflows and business needs.
